A friend gave me my first Flake over 20 years ago. Her father had brought home a precious handful of them from a business trip to the UK. Boy, she must have really loved me to give me one of my very own! Cadbury makes good cadbury flake, but what sets these apart is how they are made. Of course - they are flaky. They are so fragile, they will fall apart in your hand really easily. Because of this fragility, they also melt in your mouth very nicely. One of the best (and I think this may be traditional) ways to indulge with a Flake is to stab it into a malt or milk shake and then let it fall apart. Yum! This stuff is incredible! Melt in you mouth pure gourmet and world best chocolate, hand made by leprechaun in Cadbury, Ireland, using only the finest ingredients. Those fiery little green men put Nestle and Hershey to shame.

I have a good friend who lives in Britain, so THAT is how I found out about Cadbury Flakes, she sent me a bunch of them and I got seriously hooked! However, packages kept costing over $50 to send! So I saw these and decided to try it. The packaging is NOT from Britain, it's in a whole 'nuther language, so I opened it and tried it anyways and I PROMISE you, I compared the TRUE cadbury flake to this one and there really wasn't too much difference in taste, you'll find that most imported chocolate will taste like it may have melted a bit somewhere along the way, UNLESS you pay about $30 extra to send it overnight in a cold package (trust me, I do that often with chocolates from CT to TX)I would (and am again) purchase this, it's still better than (one of my favorites) Hershey chocolates and beats the cadbury products we have here. It is hard to eat because it falls apart but the taste is worth it and it just melts in your mouth. It is less sweet than American chocolate so if you like dead sweet chocolate don't buy this.
